I booked this hotel initially because of its location. But it turned out to be one of the best hotels I have ever stayed. Far beyond excellent location, the hotel excels in many ways. Very helpful and friendly staff, all kind of extra stuff to make your stay more enjoyable. I strongly recommend it.

Comfortable for a 3-star hotel. Basic room amenities, room is clean and spacious, bed is big but a little too firm for my little. Big thanks to concierge staff, especially Team Leader Leticia for her great and polite customer service! She is always readily available to answer my queries or offer assistance. This was crucial for me as I have an urgent online business technology test that requires certain room conditions. She efficiently arranged this for a very reasonable fee of just 150 TWD. As a kind courtesy, she even gave me a tour of some of the bigger rooms, showcasing the hotel's thoughtful design and comfort. This level of care and attention has already made me feel incredibly welcome and confident about my upcoming stay. Beyond the superb service, the hotel's location is a major highlight. Situated directly across from the Tainan train station, it offers unmatched convenience for any traveler. Based on this preliminary interaction, I can confidently say the Tie Dao Hotel combines an amazing location with what appears to be the most professional and attentive service. From the moment we arrived at this unassuming two-star hotel, I knew it would be a stay to remember. While my wife initially mistook it for a 12-story rice restaurant (a quirky mix-up we still laugh about), it quickly became clear that this place had a lot more to offer than expected. The hotel is ideally located just a stone's throw from the main station, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the city. Whether you're hopping on a train or catching a bus - which conveniently never run to time, you're well-connected. I was pleasantly surprised to see life buoys in every bus – an amusing yet thoughtful touch that added to the charm of our stay. I later learned no one in the city has drowned on a bus, an exceptional safety record. The reception staff went above and beyond, with their friendly demeanor and eagerness to help, which made us feel at home right away. Their hospitality truly made a difference during our visit. As a bonus, I indulged in my favorite treat—Häagen-Dazs ice cream. It was the perfect end to a perfect stay. All in all, while this hotel may not be the most luxurious, it offers great value, exceptional location, and a personal touch that left us with fond memories. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a cozy, well-located stay with a bit of character.
